Each turtle is shown from above with a rounded to oval shell, extended head and four flippers. Slight differences in orientation introduce directional variation while allowing the four motifs to remain part of one coordinated marine composition.

The shell areas are distinguished through segmented decorative beadwork rather than a single flat fill. Contrasting bead colors and smaller decorative details define the internal shell patterns, while separately worked heads and flippers create clear outlines around each turtle.

Dense background beadwork surrounds the motifs and changes direction around the turtle contours. The open ground between the figures prevents the composition from appearing crowded and allows the individual animal forms to remain visually distinct.

The flap edge separates the upper and lower turtle motifs without cutting through the principal figures, maintaining clear individual forms across both front sections.

Coordinating Two-Turtle Back Design
